Last updated: May 9, 2025
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data is collected when you visit christianscotti.com, how it is used, and your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Spanish law.
This website is operated by Christian Scotti, an individual based in Madrid, Spain. It is not a commercial entity.
What data is collected and why
1. Analytics (Google Analytics)
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how content is read — which posts are popular, how long visitors stay, and what devices and browsers are used. The data is aggregated and anonymised; individual visitors are not identified.
Analytics cookies are only activated after you give explicit consent via the cookie banner shown on your first visit. If you decline or ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent to Google.
- Legal basis: Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR)
- Data recipient: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
- Retention: Controlled via your Google Analytics settings; typically 14 months.
- Your control: You can withdraw consent at any time via the Cookie preferences link in the page footer.
2. Contact form
If you use the contact form, your name, email address, and message are collected solely to respond to your inquiry. This data is not used for marketing, not shared with third parties, and not stored beyond what is necessary to handle your request.
- Legal basis: Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR)
- Retention: Deleted once the conversation is concluded.
3. CDN and server logs
This site is served via Akamai’s content delivery network. Like any web server, Akamai may log standard request metadata — IP address, request URL, browser user agent, and timestamp — for security, abuse prevention, and operational purposes. These logs are not used to profile individual visitors and are subject to Akamai’s own data processing terms.
- Legal basis: Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — network security and service delivery.
